BHU Law Entrance 2018: Application Form, Syllabus, Exam Dates

BHU Law Entrance 2018BHU Law Entrance 2018 examination is organized by Banaras Hindu University. Exam will be conducted every year. BHU exam is conducting as a separate entrance test for UG and PG law courses. UG courses admissions are done through BHU Undergraduate Entrance Test (BHU UET) and the PG courses admissions are on  BHU Postgraduate Entrance Test (BHU PET). BHU Eligibility Criteria 2018

Students are advised to check the eligibility criteria given below and make sure that you are eligible for applying for the BHU entrance examination:

LLB ( Hons. ) Course

Applicants should pass B.Com/B.Sc/B.A. in the pattern of 10+2+3, or any other degree from a recognized university. Also it is necessary to score a minimum aggregate marks of  50% in the qualifying exam.

B.A. LLB Course

Applicants should complete/appearing in 10 +2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board. Students have to secure a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the specified exam. ( 45% in case of OBC and 40% in case of SC/ST).

LLM/LLM (HRDE)/LLM (Under special course of study) Course

Applicants must complete/appearing 5 years of LLB or 3 years of LLB from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate mark of  50% in LLB.

PhD (Full Time) Course

To appear for PhD (Full Time) Course applicants have to appear in a Common Entrance Research test (CRET) conducted by the BHU. Also those who are qualified in the NET/JRF are exempted from CRET.

BHU Registration 2018

For attending the BHU Law Entrance examination 2018, Students have to fill the Application Form from the official website of the university. Candidates can fill the application form through online. This process will starts from the last week of January 2018. Last date of submission is announced as last week of February 2018. Offline mode application form will not be provided. Applicants’ need to fill all information’s required details in the application form without mistakes.

Note: Students those want to get admission in Ph.D programmes also can apply through the CRET entrance exam conducted by BHU. This exam will be conducted during the month of March/July.

Registration Fee

After submitting the application form candidates needs to pay fees to attend the exam. Candidates those who belongs to General category have to pay Rs. 500/- and the reserved category candidates have to pay Rs. 250/-. Once the fee has been paid, it will not refund. Applicants can pay the fee via.  credit card/debit card/Challan.

BHU Law Entrance 2018 Exam Pattern

Candidates those who are registered for the BHU entrance examination, should have an idea about the pattern of the examination held. Please note the points given below.

BHU Law Entrance exam will be conducted in offline mode ie. pen paper mode. Time duration of 120 minutes (2 hours) is allotted for the exam. The whole question paper consists of 450 marks with 150 multiple choice questions. Candidates should select only a single answer.

BHU 2018 Syllabus

Both UET and PET exam syllabus will be different from each other. For BHU UET Law exam, candidates have to refer the subjects such as Legal Aptitude and Mental Ability, General Awareness and Current Affairs and English comprehension. For BHU PET Law exam, students have to refer the Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, Environmental Law, Law of Contracts, Law of Torts, Law of Crimes, Indian Evidence Act, Public International Law, Hindu Law and Muslim Law.

BHU Admit Card 2018

Candidates can download the BHU Law Entrance 2018 Admit Card from the official website of BHU. The admit card will be released in the official website before one week of the examination. Candidates must note the time and venue of the examination carefully. Candidates must bring the valid admit card in the exam centre. Without the admit card candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. After the examination, admit card must keep safe and has to be submitted at the time of admission, if necessary.

BHU 2018 Result

BHU Law Entrance 2018 results will be published in the BHU official website. Candidates can check their results from the online mode. The result will contain the marks scored by the candidate. List of shortlisted candidates will be posted on the official website itself. On the basis of the performance in the entrance examination, a separate merit list of candidates will be prepared by the university and they are shortlisted for counseling process.

BHU Selection Process 2018

After publishing the results of BHU entrance examination, candidates are again shortlisted through counseling process. The BHU Law Entrance 2018 Counselling will be held in the month of July 2018. Shortlisted candidates have to attend the counselling round when they are called by the authorized persons. Admissions are offered on the basis of merit made by the university. All documents of the selected candidate will be verified during the process of counseling.

Selected candidates are required to submit these documents at the time of Interview:

  • Mark List of graduation
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Entrance Test Admit Card
  • 10th and +2/Equivalent Mark List
  • 10th and +2/Equivalent Passing Certificate
  • Category Certificate
  • Migration Certificate (if necessary)

    is there any interview after passing law entrance?…

      Hello Kundan Kumar,

      There will be a counselling based on the marks obtained in the entrance exam. The university will conduct the same through online mode. You can attend it and the allotment will be according to your rank and availability of seats in various colleges.

    Sir I want joined bhu as law field of llm so I want asked how much fees of llm from bhu in regular mode or not special course please reply immediatly and how preparation start for llm entrance of bhu…
