FDDI AIST 2018: Registration, Pattern, Syllabus, Exam Dates

FDDI AIST 2018FDDI All India selection Test (FDDI AIST) is conducted by Footwear Design and Development Institute every year. FDDI was established by Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. Through attending FDDI test, students will get admission to various Bachelor’s and Master’s courses. FDDI is functioning as an interface between the untapped talent and industry and its global counterparts. Also they fulfill the demand of skilled manpower with its world class infrastructure and state of art machines. FDDI AIST 2018 will be a computer based online test organized in both English & Hindi languages. Those candidates who are interested a career in footwear design can apply for this entrance exam.

FDDI offers various programmes such as BSc (Footwear Design & Production),  BSc (Retail & Fashion Merchandise), BSc (Fashion Leather Accessory Design), MSc (Footwear Design & Production), MSc (Retail & Fashion Merchandise) and  MSc (CAD/CAM).

FDDI AIST 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Before registration, candidates should check whether they are eligible for the examination.

  • For under graduate courses applicants must pass 12th level examination from a recognized board or university.
  • Candidate should have good communication skills in English language.
  • For postgraduate courses, applicants must pass a bachelors degree from a recognized university or board.
  • Appearing candidates can also apply.
  • Only those who are 25 years of age or below as on July 31, 2018 are eligible for FDDI AIST 2018 examination for UG admissions.
  • There is no age restriction for candidates applying for PG course admissions.

FDDI AIST 2018 Registration

Interested candidates can register for the exam through official website by filling the application form. It will be released from the month of February 2018. Students are advised to fill all necessary details required without any mistakes. Incompleteness and mistakes will leads to rejection of application. Candidates will also get the application form along with an information booklet from FDDI campus at Noida, Chennai, Kolkata, Fursatganj, Chhindwara, Jodhpur, Rohtak and Guna against a payment of 500 Rs. Also applicants must upload all required documents at the time of registration. After submitting the application form they are advised to keep a print out for further verification.

Registration Fee

Applicants must pay an amount of Rs.500 as registration fee at the time of submitting application. Fee can be paid by using online payment or can send a DD in favour of FDDI, New Delhi.

FDDI AIST 2018 Exam Pattern

  • The exam will be conducted in online mode.
  • There will be 150 objective type questions of 150 marks in total.
  • 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
  • No marks will be deducted for wrong answers and there will be no negative marking.
  • Exam will be conducted in English and Hindi language.
  • There is time duration of two and half hours.
  • The exam for both PG & UG courses consist of 4 sections.

For English and Mathematics, the FDDI entrance test covers most of the syllabus from Class 11th and 12th. Students should be careful to complete the exam on allotted time. If any kind of assistance needed at the time of examination, they may approach the administrator of Test Centre. If any candidate fails to follow the rules of the exam will be disqualified. Candidates will be able to see the time allotted for the test as time Left to finish the test. It will be shown on the screen. The time will start as soon as the candidate clicks the “Start Test” button on the screen. On completion of the test, the candidate can exit the test by pressing the “Submit button”.

FDDI AIST Admit Card 2018

Candidates who submitted their application form successfully will get their admit cards through the official website from May last week onwards. In order to download the admit cards, candidates need to enter their ID and password in the given fields. Candidates must bring their admit card in the examination hall. Also candidates must carefully note the time and venue of the examination given in the admit card. Late comers are not allowed in the exam hall.

FDDI AIST 2018 Result

FDDI AIST results will be announced in the official website on the month of June 2018. The All India Merit List will be made on the basis of scores attained by the candidates. Candidates have to enter the roll number and registration number for seeking the scores of the examination. Also they are advised to keep a copy of the result for further use.

FDDI AIST Counselling 2018

After the declaration of result, candidates are shortlisted for Group discussion, personal interview and counselling round. In this step, selected candidates will get an option to select the programme as well as FDDI campus of their choice. Candidates can only select the programme /campus which is available according to their rank. Candidates must submit the required documents listed below at the time of Interview and Counselling.

  • +2 mark list(for UG courses)
  • Degree mark list (for PG courses)
  • Any ID proof (which proves age and personal information’s)
  • Print out of Admit card
  • Print out of result of FDDI test
