MGU CAT 2018: Registration, Syllabus, Pattern, Exam Dates
Mahatma Gandhi University Common Admission Test or MGU CAT 2018 is a university level entrance examination which is conducted by the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. The test is carried out in every year by the M.G University itself. The MGU CAT examination selects the best candidates for admission to their various (26 Programmes) Post Graduate (PG) courses under M.G University and its affiliated institutions. It’s also known as the university level entrance examination. The admission to PG courses will be done on the basis of centralized allotment process.
All the admission procedures are carried out through online process except M.Ed. For M.Ed programmes apart from the CAT entrance exam score, marks in the qualifying examination will also be considered. The online application process usually starts during the month of March. MGU CAT Application Form 2018
The candidates can apply for MGU CAT 2018, by checking their eligibility criteria first. The Date of online application process will be published on the web site of conducting authority.
- Candidates can apply for MGU CAT entrance exam 2018 through online mode only from the official web site of MGU.
- Candidates need to enter all the essential information such as personal details, educational details and etc during the application fill up process.
- After filling up the application form, candidates have to be paid the application fee before 3rd week of May 2018 through online mode.
- Candidate who have been applied for MGU CAT, are advised to take print out of the application form submitted, for further reference if necessary.
- The last date for applying through online is 2nd week of May 2018.
- Aspirants, whom are applying for M.Ed course must have to send their filled application form along with essential certificates to the address following;

The application fee of MGU CAT 2018-19 will vary depending on the category of candidates applying for MGU CAT entrance exam. The fees can be paid by online mode or at the nearest Akshaya Centre. The application fees are as follows;
- For General (GEN) candidates, application fee is Rs. 500/-
- For Scheduled Cast (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST), the application fee is Rs.250/-

MGU CAT 2018 Examination Pattern
The examination pattern of MGU CAT 2018 is as follows; It helps to get an overall view of CAT Examination.
- Mode of Exam: The MGU CAT examination will be conducted either in online or offline mode as per the final decision of the conducting authority.
- Type of Questions: All the questions will be of multiple choice objective type questions except for:
- MA Malayalam
- MA English
- Master of Tourism Management
- Duration of Exam: The total duration of MGU CAT examination is 1 hour and 30 minutes i.e, 90 minutes in total.
- Marking Scheme: It will be changes according to the course for which the candidate is applied.
MGU CAT Exam Centre 2018
The MGU CAT 2018 entrance exam will be conducted within and Outside Kerala.

MGU CAT 2018 Syllabus

MGU CAT 2018 Seat Reservation

MGU CAT Admit Card 2018
The admit card for candidates who has been applied for MGU CAT 2018 exam will be available during 3rd week of May 2018. The candidates are allowed to download their admit card from the official web site of conducting authority after it is available there. Admit card will consist of essential information such as Registration Number, Exam Date, Exam Centre, Exam Time and etc details. It’s also advised to keep the admit card until the whole process gets over. In case of loss of admit card candidates are not allowed to enter into exam hall.
MGU CAT Result 2018
The final result of MGU CAT 2018 entrance exam will be declared during 2nd week of June 2018. Candidates can check their result by logging in to the official web portal of MGU CAT. A separate merit list will be prepared by the conducting authority for further admission process. Candidates are advised to take a print out of the score card and keep it with them, for later on process.
MGU CAT Counseling 2018
The eligible candidates are called for Counseling process by the starting of 3rd week of June 2018. The date and time of Counseling process will be notified in the official web portal of MGU. Candidates can continuously monitor to get details of the same. Candidates can select their preferred course during the Counseling process. The seats will be allocated to candidate based on the rand secured in the entrance exam, No of seats available and etc factors. All the candidates are requested to download their score card for the Counseling process, along with original certificates and documents.
