NSIT UG Application 2018

The application form for NSIT UG 2018 will be available from 4th week of June 2018 through the official web site Joint Admission Counselling (JAC). Before applying for NSIT, Candidates are advised to check their eligibility criteria. The application form will be available in online mode only. The application form act as a gateway for the candidates in order to get selected by the NSIT, which is under taken by the University of Delhi. So candidates must be careful while providing their details. Candidates will be selected based on the performance on Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main.

Application Fee

The NIST UG 2018 consists of counselling fee for candidates and the fee is Rs.1100/- including bank charges. All candidates who wish to seek admission under NSIT, must have to make the payment before the final date published by the authority.

  • Candidates can pay the counselling fee through online mode, either by any of the following available way;
    • Debit Card
    • Credit Card
    • Online Banking.

NSIT UG 2018 Eligibility Criteria

The basic eligibility criteria required in order to apply for NSIT UG 2018 course are provided below; before applying for NSIT UG candidates are advised to check their eligibility itself. The main course provided by NSIT is Bachelor of Technology (B-Tech).

UG Course B-Tech/ BE
  • Candidates must have passed their plus two or equivalent from any of the recognized board or CBSE or ICSE.
  • Plus two should include PCM (Physics, chemistry and Mathematics) as their main subjects.
Minimum marks
  • For General Candidates must have 60% of aggregate marks.
  • For reserved category there will be relaxation in the minimum marks required.
Age Limit
  • No minimum age is specified by the University for Admission to NSIT UG 2018.
Seat Reservation
  • 85% of seats are reserved for candidates those who has been completed their qualifying degree from Delhi.
  • Remaining 15% of seats are reserved for candidates those who acquired qualifying degree from outside Delhi

The reservation of seats for each course under NSIT is as follows; it depends on the category of the applying candidates and also depends on from where the candidate is completed their qualifying degree.

NIST UG Counselling 2018

The counselling process is carried out by the Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) for admission to B-Tech courses. The admission will purely based on the scores of JEE Main. Candidates can apply for counselling process only after remittance of the specified counselling fee. The counselling is carried out through various levels of stages. In which the main stages are;

  • Selection of Online choice and filling of information through online mode.
  • Seat allotment based on the score/ rank of the candidates in the JEE Main examination.
  • Admission fee payment and collecting the admission provisional letter, this is done through online mode.
  • Physical reporting at institution and also verification of documents also carried out.
  • Withdrawal of allotted seat
  • Refund of fee.

Counselling process will go through these levels and finally the eligible candidate will get selected to the particular seat under NSIT.
