SAAT 2018: Registration, Syllabus, Exam Pattern, Important Dates

SAAT 2018Siksha ‘o’ Anusandhan University Admission Test or SAAT 2018 is a common Entrance admission test, which has been held at national level in order to select the brightest candidates from various regions within our country, for the admission of various Under graduate (UG) and Post graduate (PG) programmes, except MBBS & BDS . SAAT tests the comprehensive skills of candidates, whom are appearing for the Examination. Based on the result of SAAT, candidates are selected for UG & PG programmes under various universities in India. The UG programme includes BTech/ BSc nursing/ B-Pharm/ BSc agriculture/ BHM and PG programme include MTEch/ MCA/ M.Phram/ MSc (all courses)/ MHM/ MBA/ MHA/ MTTM. SAAT is organized in every year by the main conducting authority Siksha ‘o’ Anusandhan University.

SAAT Notification 2018

The upcoming SAAT 2018 Exam notifications are available throughout, so that candidates can browse for more details about the entrance exam such as opening and closing date of application, other important dates, eligibility, exam pattern and syllabus from the website of conducting authority.

SAAT Organizing Authority 2018 

The SAAT exam will be organized by the Siksha ‘o’ Anusandhan University in every year, after the announcement of notification, candidates can get to know more information about the exam and pattern. All the rules and regulations are decided by the conducting authority.

SAAT Exam Dates 2018 

Here provides the tentative dates of SAAT 2018-19 Entrance Examination. The Dates may get changed according to the final decision of main conducting authority.

SAAT Eligibility Criteria

Candidates whom are appearing for the SAAT 2018 must hold their basic essential Qualification for each of programme separately. The Eligibility Criteria for Each Section of Under graduate and Post graduate programmes are:

ELIGIBILITY FOR UG COURSES:

Eligible Qualifying Degree Essential Eligibility Status of Candidate
B-Tech in Engineering Pass or appearing 10+2 or equivalent examination with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects with any of the following subjects: computer science/ chemistry/ biology/ Information Technology/ statistics or any other subject approved by corresponding authority.

A minimum of 50% of mark in aggregate.

 

Currently pursing final year or passed candidates can apply

B.Pharm Pass or appearing 10+2 or equivalent examination with subject’s physics, chemistry, English and mathematics/ Biology.

Candidate must have to score minimum passing mark in each subject individually.

Currently pursing final year or passed candidates can apply
BSc Nursing Pass or appearing 10+2 or Equivalent Examination with aggregate of 45% marks collectively from physics, chemistry, biology and English.

Candidate must have passed in English individually.

For SC/ ST/ PH candidates the aggregate is taken as 40% collectively.

 

Currently pursing final year or passed candidates can apply
BSc Agriculture Pass or Appearing at 10+2 with 50% marks for general and OBC candidates and 45% of marks for SC/ ST/ PH categories with PCM/ PCB/ PCMB subject combinations.

The age limit is minimum of 17 years and maximum of 23 years as per 31st December 2017.

BBA Pass or Appearing at 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream. Currently pursing final year or passed candidates can apply
BHMCT Pass or Appearing at 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream with minimum of 45% of marks for general candidates and 40% of mark for ST/ SC/ PH candidates. Currently pursing final year or passed candidates can apply
BBA. LLB (Hons.) Pass or Appearing at 10+2 in any subject with minimum of 45% aggregate and 40% marks for SC/ ST Candidate.

Age limit: Maximum of 20 years as per 1st august 2018

M-Tech Pass or Appearing AMIE/ B-Tech/ BE/ MCA/ MSc in respective discipline or other equivalent examination recognized by particular university.

Candidate must have to score a minimum of 50% of marks in the qualifying Examination.

 

 

 

Currently pursing final year or passed candidates can apply

MCA Completed or appearing three year bachelor degree in any discipline form a recognized university with minimum of 50% of marks (45% aggregate in case of SC/ ST/ OBC).

Candidate must have passed Mathematics at 10+2 level or 10+2+3 level.

 

 

 

Currently pursing final year or passed candidates can apply

MSc Nursing BSc Nursing (Post Basic/ Basic) completed from an institution recognized by Indian nursing council, with minimum of 55% aggregate.

The Candidate must have a minimum of 1 year experience either in teaching or clinical area after registering as midwife or Nurse.

MBA/ MHA/ MHMCT/ MHTM Completed or Appearing any UG degree with minimum of 50% of aggregate (In case of SC/ ST/ OBC candidate minimum of 45% aggregate)

LLM Completed or appearing bachelor degree of law or integrated degree of law or any other equivalent courses of laws recognized by universities with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

M.Pharm Completed or appearing B.Pharm with 55% of aggregate marks and 50% in case of SC/ ST/ OBC candidates.

MCA (Lateral Entry) Completed/ appearing at three year bachelor of computer application (BCA) / BSc Computer Science/ BSc Information Technology with a minimum of 60% marks.

SAAT 2018 Application Form

Candidates can apply through online mode, and the application form will be available from 3rd week of January. Before applying for examination, candidates must have to check their eligibility and also while filling up the form, a digital photo and signature also needs to be uploaded. After completing the application, Each enrolled candidate will get an email confirmation.

Application Fee

There is no application fee for SAAT Examination.

SAAT 2018 Syllabus

SAAT Examination is organized in every year by the conducting authority Siksha ‘o’ Anusandhan University. This is an entrance examination to seek admission to various UG and PG courses. So that the Syllabus for SAAT examination varies based of each of the programme.

  • B-Tech/ BSc Nursing/ BSc Agriculture /DDE the syllabus consists of 10+2 level basics in chemistry, physics, and maths and biology subjects.
  • MCA syllabus consists of maths along with computer knowledge, in case of MCA lateral entry the syllabus consists of computer knowledge along with programming concepts and basics also.
  • B-Tech lateral entry scheme it will consists of Mathematics, more knowledge from electrical engineering and engineering mechanics.
  • For other programmes the syllabus will consists of general English, verbal reasoning, Numerical aptitude, General Knowledge and etc.

SAAT Exam Pattern

  • Type of Questions: All the questions will be objective type multiple choice question.
  • No of Questions: There will be 60 questions from each section.
  • Medium of Question Paper: All the questions in the question paper will be in English language, no other languages are used.
  • Examination Time: There are total 120 questions for the examination, and 60 questions per each hour of the examination.
  • Marking Scheme: For every correct answer attended by the candidate, a maximum of 4 marks will be awarded for each question.
  • Negative Mark: For Every Wrong answer, 1 mark X No of wrong attempts will be deducted from the final mark of the candidate.

SAAT Admit Card 2018 

SAAT admit card can be downloaded from the respective site during last week of April 2018 and the candidates are requested to bring their admit card with any of the identity proof in order to verify each candidate before entering into their respective exam hall. In case of absence of admit card, candidate must have to consult the examination invigilators or the head.

SAAT 2018 Result

The SAAT examination result will be published during the 3rd week of may 2018 in the official website of Siksha ‘o’ Anusandhan University. After the result announcement, merit candidate list will be prepared for each of the UG and PG programmes based on the performance of candidates.

SAAT Cut-Off Marks

The cut-off marks may vary for each of the programmes based on various factors such as no of seats available, difficulty level of question paper, no of candidates appeared for exam and etc. The cut-off marks will be decided and declared only after completing the entrance examination.

SAAT 2018 Counseling

SAAT 2018 Counseling will be at Siksha ‘o’ Anusandhan University. The entire eligible candidate must have to bring all the essential documents with them, there will an online Counseling that may start during June 2018. After this, the shortlisted candidates will be advised to further go for open Counseling and to fill up form for various programmes under the university. The seats will be allocated based on the merit candidates list and choice of each candidate.
